Short answer
What is included in the elephant sanctuary morning?
A shared round-trip hotel transfer in Phuket, the guided programme at Phuket Elephant Sanctuary, the documentary and the elephant hospital visit, a vegetarian and vegan Thai buffet lunch with drinks, boots, socks, umbrellas, rain coats and mosquito spray.
Phuket Elephant Sanctuary is a 30-acre retirement home for elephants, set in the jungle at Paklok next to Khao Phra Thaeo National Park. The sanctuary says 13 rescued elephants live there now. It is an observation-only visit: there is no riding, and since 1 April 2026 there is no feeding either, and no bathing with the elephants. You watch from a respectful distance while a guide tells each elephant's story, and the elephants decide what to do that morning. Below: what the price covers, who it suits and how it compares with the other ways to do it.
The short answer
Yes for animal lovers and families who want to watch elephants without riding or feeding them: it runs as a guided morning visit with shared transfer covering Paklok, northeast Phuket, lasts About 5-6 hours with transfers and starts with hotel pickup in phuket in a shared van, about 8:00-9:00 am; the programme starts at 9:30, so the day is handled from the door.
Pricing is From $95 per person. We confirm the date, pickup time and total on WhatsApp before you pay; how and when to pay for this tour is agreed with your booking.
