What shifts by season
Phuket, Krabi and the islands of the Andaman Sea have two seasons: the dry season from about November to April, with calm seas and the clearest water, and the south-west monsoon from about May to October, when the sea is rougher, some boat trips are cancelled for weather and parks close for part of the year. Showers in the wet season are often short; what changes is the sea.
