What is on in Phuket in November 2026?
We found six dated events that you can join or watch in Phuket this month, plus one conference. On Sunday 8 November there is a Diwali food day at Central Patong. On Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November the Laguna Phuket Open Water Swim and Triathlon take place in the Bang Tao area. The PHOODIE food festival runs from 20 to 29 November, a family festival is on Saturday 21 November, and Tuesday 24 November is Loy Krathong. The Global Wellness Summit, 10–13 November, is a conference for delegates.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) published its own 'November Event and Calendar' on 29 October 2026, and it lists no event in Phuket. For that reason the dates below come from two TAT releases of 30 October, from the organisers' own websites and, for one smaller event, from Phuket 101's local calendar. Programmes can still change, so check the organiser's page a week before you go.
Is there a Diwali event in Phuket on 8 November?
Yes, a small one. TAT said on 30 October 2026 that the Amazing Thailand Grand Diwali Festival has seven celebrations in Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket from 3 to 29 November. Phuket's part is 'A Sunday of Flavour' at Central Patong on 8 November, which TAT describes as an Indian food festival with festive activities. Diwali itself falls on 8 November this year, according to TAT.
TAT says admission to all seven celebrations is free. Its release gives no opening hours or programme for the Patong event, so ask the shopping centre or call the TAT Contact Centre on 1672 before you go.
What is the Laguna Phuket Triathlon, and does it affect the roads?
The organisers' website gives Sunday 15 November 2026 for the 32nd Laguna Phuket Triathlon and Saturday 14 November for the Laguna Phuket Open Water Swim. On the Saturday the swim races start from 07:00 on the beach at SAii Laguna Phuket. On the Sunday the professional men start at 06:30 on the same beach, and the race finishes at 12:30 at Laguna Grove. The full triathlon is a 1.8 km swim, a 50 km bike ride and a 12 km run; the organisers also run a sprint triathlon and a duathlon (run, bike, run).
The official schedule lists a police-escorted practice ride on the 50 km bike course on Friday 13 November, from 08:00 to 10:00. It does not list road closures for race day. If your hotel is in Bang Tao or Cherngtalay, allow extra time on Sunday morning and ask the front desk which roads are affected.
Is the Global Wellness Summit open to visitors?
TAT said on 30 October 2026 that Phuket hosts the Global Wellness Summit from 10 to 13 November at Angsana Laguna Phuket, with about 600 Thai and international delegates. It is an industry event, and we found no public programme or ticket sale. TAT says Queen Suthida is scheduled to preside over the opening ceremony on 11 November.
For most visitors the summit changes nothing. We found no notice of road closures linked to it. If you stay in the Laguna area, ask your hotel whether the opening on 11 November affects traffic.
What is PHOODIE, and how do you join the Phuket food festival?
PHOODIE is a food festival run by the Phuket Hotels Association from 20 to 29 November 2026. Its website says about 50 restaurants and bars take part, from hotel dining rooms to independent places. From 20 to 27 November each venue serves festival menus or chef collaborations in six themes: PHOODIE Lab, Sustainable Bites and Mixes, Plant-Based Creations, Chef's Table Series, Seafood Celebration and Phuket Peranakan. Phuket 101 says dates, prices and booking rules are set by each venue, so you book restaurant by restaurant.
On Saturday 28 November the festival gathers at Limelight Phuket in Phuket Town from 4 pm to 10 pm for PHOODIE Meet, with live music, chef and bartender competitions and tasting stalls. Phuket 101 says a meal at a festival venue earns a PHOODIE Passport, which you can redeem for a small dish or a drink at the Meet. The Dining Awards on 29 November are an invitation-only gala, so they are not an event for the public.
When is Loy Krathong in Phuket, and what else is on that week?
Loy Krathong is on Tuesday 24 November, the full-moon night of the 12th lunar month. People in Phuket float krathongs in the evening on beaches, at lakes and piers, and even in hotel pools. Our guide to Loy Krathong 2026 in Phuket lists the usual places, prices and rules. To float a krathong at sea, our Phang Nga Bay sunset canoe tour includes it. The tour is from $115 per person, and the pickup is between about 10:00 and 11:15 am. We have not set a special programme for 24 November, so ask us about your date.
One smaller event is the Phuket Family Festival on Saturday 21 November, from 10:00 to 16:00 at Tangerine Phuket in Phuket Town. Phuket 101's calendar lists it as the first edition, with talks, children's activities and live music, and says registration is essential because of the venue's capacity. For a weekly evening plan, our guide to Phuket night markets says which market opens on which night.
What are the weather and the sea like in early November?
Early November is still the end of the monsoon season. The Thai Meteorological Department's forecast of 2 November, as reported by the Thaiger, expected scattered thundershowers in Phang Nga, Phuket, Trang and Satun, with north-east winds of 15 to 35 km/h. Waves were about one metre, one to two metres offshore and above two metres in thunderstorms. Heavy rain flooded roads in Phuket on 25 October and mud hit Patong on 26 October, which we covered in our report on the October floods.
Phuket 101 says the sea improves through November and that by late November the high season has effectively begun. Our Phuket in November guide has the rainfall figures. The Andaman marine parks opened for the season on 15 October, and on our tours the operator moves the trip to another date or refunds it if the sea is unsafe.
Is November the start of the high season, and what does it mean for tours?
Phuket 101 calls November to early December the transition: prices are climbing but are not yet at their peak, and a hotel usually needs two to three weeks' notice, against one to two months for December and January. More flights are arriving too. TAT welcomed Virgin Atlantic's London–Phuket service on 19 October, with three flights a week until 26 March 2027, and Kuwait Airways' new service on 27 October, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. It also said Belavia would start twice-weekly Minsk–Phuket flights from 29 October. Our note on the Virgin Atlantic route has the details.
Phuket 101 says the popular tour boats fill days ahead in the peak season, so ask early for any date near the festival days. Our Phi Phi and Maya Bay speedboat tour is from $75 per person. Maya Bay is open in November, because the park closes it only from 1 August to 30 September, and the Similan Islands have been open since 15 October. Send us your date and hotel on WhatsApp, and we confirm availability, the pickup time and the total before you pay.
Practical checklist
- Mark 8, 14–15, 20–29 and 24 November; most events are a single day or evening.
- Book PHOODIE meals restaurant by restaurant, because each venue sets its own menu, price and booking rules.
- If you stay in Bang Tao or Cherngtalay, allow extra time on the morning of Sunday 15 November.
- Bring a light rain jacket for early November, and check the sea forecast the evening before a boat day.
- Look for municipal Loy Krathong announcements in the week before 24 November.
- Send us your date and hotel a few days ahead for any boat day near the festival dates.
